French Onion Bread

French Onion Bread... Most of the elements of French onion soup but in bread form…truly one of my top ones!
Properly caramelized onions take time but they are well worth it!

First, add the olive oil to a preheated pan, add in onions and sauté every 2-3 minutes for 20 minutes. Then, add in sugar and salt. Continue caramelizing another 20 minutes. Deglaze with Tamari.
Secondly, add the butter to a bowl, top with the onions, parsley, Parmigiano, salt and pepper. Mix well.
Then, spread the butter onto the baguette halves, you’ll have leftover butter. Save it in the fridge for 5 days.
Lastly, add gruyere to the baguette and bake at 375F for 15-20 minutes until all toasty and melty. Top with crushed red peppers and pepper.
