What you need

coarse sea salt

sugar
baking powder
buttermilk

salted butter
Instructions
1. Process together the flour, lavender, salt, baking powder and sugar. 2. Add in the cubed cold butter and process until it is crumbly. 3. Slowly add in the buttermilk and process until incorporated. 4. Add dough to a floured surface, knead the dough lightly. If it’s too wet/sticky add in a bit of flour (1 tbsp at a time). 5. Flatten the dough with your hands and form a rectangle like in the video, fold it in half a couple times. I find it gets more even. You want it to be 1-1 1/4 inch thich. 6. Cut the biscuits using a cookie cutter. Keep forming the dough and cutting it until it is all gone. Mine yielded 9 biscuits. 7. Place in a cookie sheet and brush the tops with buttermilk. 8. Bake at 425F for 11-13 min or until the tops are golden and they’ve risen. 9. I added butter, honey and lavender to mine.View original recipe
